Tip One - Give a Little Love
Get close to your customers and show them how much you care.
The way we're spending is changing as the bad news unfolds around us. If we're not tightening our belts like never before, we're shopping around in the hope of landing cut-price deals.
Take a really good look at your customers. Does the 80-20 rule apply? And do you know who's in your top 20%? What makes them tick? What are they buying? Who isn't buying at all? And why? If you don't know, why not talk to them and find out? Armed with this critical customer information, you're in a much better place to start building strong relationships.
Here's some food for thought...
Make them an offer they can't refuse.
Dream up irresistible offers to tempt customers into spending more. And if they won't spend more, at least anything they do spend will come your way. Target customers with relevant cross-sell and upgrade messaging and show them you understand them.
Time is ticking.
Hold all your transaction, customer and billing details centrally. This will help your staff to deal with customer orders, queries and complaints more quickly and accurately.
Less waste, more speed.
Understand your customer demand and you can better predict your stock requirements and buying patterns. This means less waste and faster response times. All good when times are tough.
Look for a good match.
Target your valuable marketing efforts at prospects who match your existing customer profile. Gather feedback from delighted consumers and use it to reinforce your messaging.
Make your customers swoon.
We all want to feel loved. Give your customers a breathtaking experience with personalised service, tailored product offerings and accurate and timely information.
