Firewall

Firewalls protect networks and computers from unwanted intrusion that could compromise confidentiality or result in data corruption. They can be stand alone hardware devices or software programmes running on a host computer. A firewall examines all traffic routed between your network and the Internet to see if it meets certain criteria. If it does, it is allowed through the firewall, otherwise it is blocked.

Most up-to-date operating systems provide firewall protection although certain applications may warrant further protection. Quintech will advise whether this is necessary.
