What’s New in SAP Business One 10.0

Following a successful early adopter care program, we are excited to announce the general availability of SAP Business One 10.0, both on MS SQL and SAP HANA databases.


The focus is on streamlining essential business processes and enhancing usability and extensibility. The highly anticipated web client moves customers’ sales processes to a fresh and modernised user interface.


More than 107 customers participated in the early adopter program and 15 customers went live with the new release. Below we look at the five most wanted features that drove customers to adopt the new 10.0 release. This list only scratches the surface of the new features and the benefits they bring!


Web Client

Based on SAP Fiori design principles, the web client encapsulates SAP Business One core processes and business logic alongside an advanced user experience.


  • Users are able to customise the interface with enhanced flexibility and extensibility to provide ready access from any device, at any point of time.

  • Simplification of design is key and SAP are keen for users to get to grips with the solution without the need for extensive training.

  • The focus is on the creation, processing and updating of Sales Quotations, Sales Orders, A/R Deliveries and Invoices.

  • There are some sophisticated analytic charting capabilities.

  • Business partner records are also included, alongside items and item catalogue.

  • Users can use the web client to access their calendar and schedule activities within one solution.

  • There are also tools to manage deliveries and returns from within your browser.

Usability enhancements

  • A New Skin Style “Belize Deep” has been added to create a modern look and feel, providing a harmonised user experience for those who work with both SAP B1 and Web Client.

  • The Enhanced User Interface includes features such as a new icon and menu option and enlarged working area so that information about current company and logged-on user is displayed clearly. A quick “Choose Company” option switches between company databases and users in one click.

  • Form Behaviour has been enhanced with the ability to resize form size, increasing usability by avoiding scrolling.

  • New features have been added to User Name in License and Add-on Administration which enhance clarity and transparency of user’s identity to support accurate license allocation and add-on administration.

Microsoft Office 365 Integration

Microsoft Office 365 and OneDrive integration allows for document layouts, grid results and reports to be exported into Excel and Word accordingly, while the SAP Business One 10.0 Template Management allows for more flexibility in reporting and document layouts management. The result is the automatic upload of exports into OneDrive, easier report and document layouts management, accessed from everywhere.

Print Preferences Enhancements

Print Preferences are now available for both Service Calls and Service Contracts. Document Printing includes Service Calls and Service Contract allowing for bulk document processing and distribution of service calls and service contracts.

Posting Periods Enhancement

New check boxes, column sorting, filtering and FindField features have all been added to simplify and streamline the creation of new financial periods. The enhanced usability of the Posting Periods table is highly significant for businesses with long lists of posting periods.
